ENPC®-Provider Course (ENPC-P)

ENPC®, developed by the Emergency Nursing Association (ENA), is recognized nationally and internationally as the course which provides in-depth pediatric knowledge of emergency patients ages newborn through adolescence.  ENPC® integrates didactic lectures with critical skills related to the nurse's assessment and care of the pediatric patient who is experiencing medical, toxicological, or multisystem trauma emergencies.  Included in the course curriculum are trauma epidemiology, anatomic and physiologic differences, initial assessment, triage, respiratory distress/failure, cardiovascular emergencies, trauma, burns, medical emergencies, toxicological emergencies, neonatal care, child maltreatment, crisis intervention and transport considerations.  Experienced nurses may opt to challenge the course.  For more information on challenging, call Janelle Glasgow, RNC, CPEN at 614-255-4396. 

Registration is on a first-come/first-served basis with submission of complete registration and tuition payment.  All courses are held at COTS unless otherwise noted.  Preference is given to employees of COTS member hospitals to within 60 working days of any course.  Therefore, registrants from non-member hospitals will be placed on a waiting list until 60 days prior to any course.

The Emergency Nurses Association is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
