 The CMA promotes the products provided by Frank Gates through SafeX. SafeX provides on site safety consultations by health and safety professionals to evaluate the status of Ohio BWC, 10 Step Business Plan and other health and safety best practices. Their programs promote the BWC 10 Step Business Plan and the 9 Key Safety Parameters to reduce workplace injuries. Frank Gates / SafeX provides our group members free access to a toll free safety professional hotline, email access and webpage containing BWC safety training,10 Step Business Plan and 9 Key Safety Parameters information. Our members have also been provided a 2009 calendar that additionally includes dates of BWC safety congress, state wide safety council meetings and all the SafeX training opportunities. We plan to coordinate with Frank Gates / SafeX to provide safety webinars through SafeX in the future.

BWC Introduces New Online Resource  The Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) announced a new way for Ohioans to register for occupational safety and health classes.  At the BWC Learning Center, bwclearningcenter.com, customers can gain information about BWC classes any hour of the day. Go to the new BWC Learning Center to register. Once on the site, first-time users should click Register and follow the directions. Then, you’re free to explore the site at your convenience. If you have an e-mail address, you will receive immediate enrollment confirmation.

  • Review and update your profile. Confirm class enrollment
  • Look for new classes to attend and enroll online
  • Print certificates at your convenience, 24 hours a day, seven days a week
  • Print your transcript for classes taken since July 1, 2005
